Allen, Coe capture JGA/UWI Classic titles

T. V. ALLEN and Cowena Coe captured the male and female titles at this year's Jamaica Golf Association (JGA)/University of West Indies (UWI) Classic tournament at the Caymanas Golf and Country Club on Sunday.

Allen claimed the Vice Chancellor's Trophy after shooting a net score of 65 to win the men's event ahead of Guyan Arscott, who finished with 75. Coe claimed the female title with a score of 70, which was a stroke better than Marguerite Cremin.

Tommy Lee won the men's 0-7 category with a 66, two shots ahead of Robert Chin. The men's 8-11 event was won by Greg Chong with 72 ahead of Vickram Dhiman (77).

Top score

Livingston Morrison won the men's 17-24 event with a 67 in front of Keith Smith (70). Anthony Findlay captured the men's Senior 10-12 event with a 77 - two shots ahead Lloyd Grey.

Carl Lawson shot a top score of 69 to win the men's Super Senior 0-10 event over JGA president Gordon Hutchinson (70).

Al Stona won the men's 11-15 super senior category with a 69, one stroke ahead of Lindy Delapenha.

Stuart Fisher won the super senior men's 16-26 event with a 67 - ahead of Michael King (79). Meanwhile, Adam Lee won the junior category with a fine 63 - one shot ahead of Geoffrey Chong.
