Selassie's girls lead the way

 
HAILE SELASSIE'S GIRLS and boys' teams from Campion and St Andrew Technical scored victories in the Super 6 round of the bMobile Corporate Area Bad-minton Schools' League on Thursday.

Haile Selassie clipped Campion 3-2 while Campion's boys whipped Calabar 4-1 and St. Andrew Technical edged Jamaica College 3-2.

Thursday's win pushed Camp-ion's boys in the lead with 14 points from three ties and STATHS boys in second place on seven from three ties.

Among the girls Haile Selassie are currently first on 16 points from four ties with the defending champions, St. Andrew High, second on 15 from three.

Last week in the rural area Belair defeated Bishop Gibson 3-2 in the only girls tie played to date.
In the rural boys the scores are: DeCarteret 10 points, Munro eight, El Instituto de Mandeville five and Belair two. DeCarteret are the first qualifiers for the All Island final. Munro and El Instituto still have a tie to play against each other but both cannot overtake DeCarteret who have completed their schedule. Belair have also completed their schedule.

The first and second placed teams from each league will contest the all-island finals.
