Juici Patties, JDF, Hy-Performance win

 
Last year's beaten finalists Juici Patties, as well as Hy-Performance and the Jamaica Defence Force (JDF) all recorded identical 3-2 wins in the Jamaica Table Tennis Association (JTTA)/Northwest Table Tennis Club League on Thursday night.

Led by Clarendon parish champion George Gallimore, Juici Patties defeated Alpart, Hy-Performance got the better of Pembroke Hall and the JDF clipped UWI.

In the Juici Patties/Alpart match-up, which was played in Nain, St Elizabeth, the victors were piloted to honours on wins from Gallimore, who defeated Lloyd Coke 3-0, Shandar Sybron, who stopped Dwight Griffiths 3-0, and Carlton Clarke, who overpowered Ernest Allen 3-0.

Alpart's consolations were recorded by Dervon Parchment, who outlasted Courtney Hall 3-2 and teamed up with Allen in the doubles to pip Hall and Gallimore 3-2.

At Gibson Circle, Hope Pastures, Hy-Performance were led to victory on wins from Darryl Gordon, Javon Darrell and Bran-don Phillips, who cruised to 3-0 triumphs over Clifford Benson, Alecia Bennett and Charles Brown.

Jermaine Johns outplayed Darren Salmon 3-1 in singles and Benson and Brown crushed Derek Walcott and Brandon Phillips 3-0 in doubles for the two Pembroke Hall II consolation victories.

The JDF/UWI matchup saw Stephen Menzie defeating Shenique Clare 3-0 and Jeremaine Johnson getting the better of Robert Taylor in singles play, while Barry Parkes and Menzie teamed up to crush Andre McKenzie and Chevarlo Foater in doubles action.

Stephen Menzie overpowered Shenique Clare 3-0 and Jermaine Johnson nipped Robert Taylor 3-2 in singles matches and Barry Parkes and Menzie crushed Andre McKenzie and Chevarlo Foater 3-0 in doubles, for the JDF's three wins.
