Harbour View, DC United face off in March

NEW YORK CITY (CMC):

HARBOUR VIEW will face DC United of the United States in the quarter-finals of the CONCACAF Champions Cup in March next year. This follows the conclusion of the draw held at the offices of the CONCACAF Secretariat earlier this week.

The first-leg encounter of the quarter-finals will take place from March 11 to 13 with the return legs set for March 18 to 20.

Harbour View claimed their second CFU Club Championship by defeating Joe Public FC of Trinidad and Tobago 2-1 in the final at the Marvin Lee Stadium last month. The Caribbean crown earned the Jamaica club a berth to the Champions' Cup quarter-finals.

In other quarter-finals, defending CONCACAF champions Pachuca CF of Mexico take on Honduras' CD Motagua, Atlante FC of Mexico meet Costa Rica's Deportivo Saprissa and Houston Dynamo of the United States play Guatemala's CSD Municipal.

The quarter-final winners will advance to the Champions Cup semi-finals scheduled for April 1 to 3 and 8 to 10, respectively.

The semi-final victors will play for the 2008 CONCACAF Champions Cup over two legs between April 22 and 24, and April 29 and May 1, with the winner also qualifying to the FIFA Club World Cup in Japan later in the year.

The CONCACAF Champions Cup is the longest-running international club competition in the region and has crowned the champion club of the Confederation since its inception in 1962.
