Cummings nets equaliser

Jamaica international, Omar Cummings, scored a superb late goal for the Colorado Rapids to snatch a 1-1 draw against Real Salt Lake, in US Major League Soccer (MLS) on Saturday night.

Cummings blasted a scorching right-footer high into the goal in the 88th minute, as visiting Colorado grabbed a share of the points at Rio Tinto Stadium.

Yura Movsisyan had given Real Salt Lake (RSL) the lead in the 79th minute, but three minutes later, the home side was reduced to a 10-man unit when Robbie Russell received a second yellow card.

It proved enough time for the Rapids to make their man-advantage count against RSL, who had Jamaica international Andy Williams in their line-up as a 70th-minute substitute.

The result moved Colorado up to joint third on points - 17 - with Seattle in the Eastern Conference standings, which is being led by Chivas USA (27), followed by Houston Dynamo (21).

RSL are sixth on 12 points, three behind fifth-place Los Angeles Galaxy, who defeated Toronto FC 2-1.

Jamaica international, Donovan Ricketts, had another top game in goal for LA and denied Toronto at several key moments.

In other games, Chivas USA, with Kittitian Atiba Harris and Jamaican Shavar Thomas, defeated Seattle 1-0 and Columbus Crew got past Kansas City 2-0.
