Meadowvale sink The Dip

Meadowvale underlined their superiority over Portmore neighbours The Dip when they clipped them 6-5 in a seventh round match in the Jamaica Skittles Federation/Henkel-sponsored competition at Gregory Park last Sunday.

Meadowvale, playing away, took the match at 6-4 but The Dip won the 11th and final game to make it 6-5. As a result of this win, Meadowvale remain in contention for a quarter-final spot.

protest lodged

In other matches played last Sunday, leaders Dragon defeated Rowe's Strikers 7-4 at Dragon, Giltress Street in Rollington Town. However, Rowe's Strikers have lodged a protest with the Jamaica Skittles Federation and the result of this match is on hold.

According to Rowe's captain, Garfield 'Milligram' Samuels, his team is protesting on the grounds that the seventh game was not played in accordance with the rules and regulations governing the competition, in that Dragon player Seymour Bennett fouled the table with one ball remaining, causing all four pins to fall.

In other matches played last Sunday, Eastern All-Stars pipped House Of Peace 6-5 at Eastern, Cherry's Strikers drubbed Olympic 9-2 at Hughenden Plaza and Mystix clipped Waltham 6-5 at Waltham.

Tomorrow's feature matches are Meadowvale vs Dragon at Meadowvale and Rowe's Strikers at home to Eastern at Chelsea Jerk Centre.
