  • Delloreen Ennis-London (12.79),Brigitte Foster-Hylton (12.65) qualified for the 100 M hurdles Final
  • Usain Bolt (20.68) qualified for the 200 M final. He wil run from lane 1 in the final.
  • Wignall Maurice qualified for the 100m hurdles semi-finals in a time of 13.90 seconds
  • Usain Bolt (20.87) and Christopher Williams (20.93) qualified for the 200 M semi-final
  • Veronica Campbell qualified for the 200 M semi-finals
  • Stoddart Shevon (56.55) Parris-Thymes Debbie-Ann (58.27) qualified for the 400 M Hurdles semi-finals

  • All 3 jamaican women in the 100 m hurdles advanced. The times were Vonette Dixon in 12.95 sec. , Delloreen Ennis-London in 12.65 sec. for first,Brigitte Foster-Hylton 12.64 sec. for second,first and first in their respective heats. more
  • 2 of 3 Jamaican men advanced to the quater-finals of the 200 M. Christopher Williams 20.64 sec. for second and Usain Bolt 20.80 sec. first in their respective heats.more
  • Brandon Simpson 44.98 sec., Michael Blackwood 45.58 sec. and Lansford Spence 46.21 sec. all advanced to the semi-finals of the 400 M.more
  • Elva Goulbourne qualified for the Women's Long Jump Finals more

  • Veronica Campbell collected the silver medal as she finished second in the Women's 100 M in a time of 10.95s, a personal season's best. Sherone Simpson finished 6th in a time of 11.09s. The race was won by the American Williams Lauryn who cover the distance in 10.93s
  • Korene Hinds finished 4th in the 3000m Steeplechase in a new national record of 9min 33.30s, Mardrea Hyman was 8th in a time of 9min 39.66 seconds
