Rowe leads Lasco Chess Champs

 
After four rounds of play, National Master Duane Rowe is the sole leader of the 2006 LASCO National Chess Championships, currently taking place at the Norman Manley Law School.

At the end of round three on Saturday, Rowe, Shane Matthews, Equitable Brown, Christopher Buchanan and Deborah Richards had registered victories over Mark Holness, Andrew Mellace, Russel Porter, Mark Henry and Ian Wilkinson, respectively. The fourth round on Sunday saw victories for Rowe, Matthews, Porter, Richards and Holness over Mellace, Warren Elliott, Buchanan, Henry and Wilkinson, respectively.

Rowe leads with a perfect four points from four games. Next is seven-time national champion, National Master Shane Matthews on 3.5).

The rest of the standings are Brown 2.5, Elliott 2, Porter 2, Buchanan 2, Richards 2, Holness 1.5, Wikinson 0.5, Henry zero and Andrew Mellace zero.
