Primary, prep chess champs

 
PRIMARY AND PREPARATORY schools from across Jamaica, will converge on the RBTT Bank headquarters in New Kingston on Saturday June 11, to compete in the first annual National Primary and Prep Schools Chess Championship.

The event, which is being staged by the Jamaica Chess Federation in association with the Five Star Chess Academy, is sponsored by RBTT Bank.

The one-day championship is open to all schools at the primary/preparatory level. Each school will be allowed to enter as many teams as they wish, each consisting of four players and any number of reserves. The championship will be played over five rounds, and each player will be allowed 30 minutes to complete each game.

Registration is scheduled to take place between 8:00 a.m. and 9:00 a.m, prior to the start of championship. For further details schools may contact the Jamaica Chess Federation or Five Star Chess Academy.
