Sunshine Girls still ranked fourth

MANCHESTER, England (CMC):

There is no positional change among the top-10 nations in the latest world netball rankings, which show Australia retaining the top spot ahead of New Zealand, England and Jamaica.

Caribbean giants Jamaica recorded tied 1-1 series against both World No.1 Australia and second-ranked New Zealand in October but still remain fourth, 10 rating points behind No.3 England, who swept them in a three-match series in England during the summer.

During October, the Jamaicans had also finished runners-up to New Zealand in the first-ever FastNet World Netball Series in England.

Trinidad and Tobago, the other Caribbean nation in the IFNA Top-10, retained 10th position, one spot ahead of Barbados.

St Vincent and the Grenadines kept 17th position as all four Caribbean teams appearing on the rankings retained the same positions they held from the last rankings adjustments on October 30.

Several other netball playing countries, including Caribbean teams Antigua and Barbuda, St Lucia, and St Kitts and Nevis, have played fewer than eight matches in the period for rankings assessment and although they have a points rating, there is no corresponding ranking for them.
