Nicholas Walters returns to the ring

COLON CITY, Panama (CMC):

Undefeated Jamaican featherweight boxer, Nicholas Walters, makes another quick return to the ring this weekend when he faces the young Panamanian Alejandro Corrales over six rounds.

Panama-based Walters takes a 6-0 record into the non-title contest tonight at Hotel Melia Panama Canal.

It is expected to be the toughest test to date for Walters, who turned professional this year after a solid amateur career.

The 22-year-old is using Panama as a training base and has stopped five of his six opponents since turning pro in August after failing to qualify for the Beijing Olympics.

Corrales, 21, is also a promising professional although his ring record is less impressive at five wins (3 knockouts) against three defeats and one draw.
