Veronica Campbell-Brown lands Gold in the 200M.

 
Defending champion, Veronica Campbell-Brown landed Gold in the 200M in time of 21.74 seconds, a personal best.

Jamaica's Kerron Stewart captured the Bronze with a time of 22.00 finishing third behind Allyson Felix.

Campbell Brown has now successfully defended her Olympic title won at the Athens Olympics four years ago for this event.

Veronica Campbell-Brown and Kerron Stewart have once again done Jamaica proud.

In all there were five Caribbean athletes in the race, three women from Jamaica, one from Bahamas and one from the Cayman Islands.

They placed in the following positions Jamaica's Sherone Simpson, finished 6th, Debbie Ferguson-McKenzie from the Bahamas finished 7th and Cydoine Mothersill from the Cayman Island 8th.

Veronica has always being the champion on the track in the hearts of Jamaica and once again she has delivered a scintillating performance.

The Jamaican medal tally now moves to 9 medals, 5 Gold, 3 Silver and 1 Bronze.
