Bolt Wins the 200M in World Record time of 19.30

Usain Bolt of Jamaica has struck Gold, once again, winning the Olympic 200M in a time of 19.30s. After winning the 100M in 9.69s, Bolt turns up with another world record.

In a fantastic performance that the world will long remember, the 21 year-old Usain Bolt in another lightning run broke Michael Johnson's long standing world record of 19.32, set some 12 years ago at the Atlanta Games. The wind reading was a -0.9 m/s.

It is probably the first time that the 100M and 200M has been won at the same Olympics Games in world record time and by the same athlete. He became the first person to win the 100M/200M double since Carl Lewis in 1984.

Shawn Crawford the defending champion finished second, Walter Dix third while Wallace Spearmon of the also from the USA and Churandy Martina from the Netherland Antilles were both disqualified for run out of lane.
