Ja juniors advance to semis

JAMAICA'S BOYS and girls teams advanced to the semi-finals of the Junior Caribbean Squash Championships at the South Sound Squash Club in Grand Cayman on Wednesday.

The boys first defeated hosts Cayman 3-2 yesterday with wins to Brad Low and Kyle Gregg in the Under-19s and Chris Binnie at the Under-17 level. Low and Binnie continued their winning ways in the evening session as, accompanied by David Patterson (U-19), the team beat Trinidad 3-2.

The Jamaicans were to face Bermuda in last night's semi-final. The girls had mixed fortunes on Wednesday, going down to Guyana in the morning 2-3. The wins were recorded by Rori Leigh Mighty (U19) and Kristine Bell (U15).

Both girls won again in the afternoon match and, with a win by Tracy Binnie (U17), got by Bermuda 3-2.

They were to meet Barbados in yesterday's semi-finals.
