100m hurdles win for Delloreen

Delloreen Ennis-London was Jamaica's lone winner at yesterday's Grand Prix Meeting in Zagreb, Croatia.

After cruising to a 13.05 first round win, Ennis-London, returned to run 12.91 in the final and beat Canadian 2003 World champion Perdita Felicien (13.03).

American Damu Cherry, who had the fastest time (12.85) in the heats, returned 13.03 seconds for third.

Christopher Williams, a silver medallist from the 2001 Edmonton World Championships, finished second in the men's 200m in 20.69 seconds. Tim Abeyie of Great Britain won the event in 20.67.

Ian Weakley was a fourth-place finisher in the men's 400m hurdles, running 50.60 seconds to finish behind American Derrick Williams of the U.S.A. (49.24), Adam Kunkel of Canada (49.73) and Rickey Harris, also of the United States (50.26).

Dwight Thomas was disqualified from the men's 100m dash. The winner was Matic Osovnikar of Slovenia, who stopped the clock at 10.19 seconds.
