Classic, United continue domino reign

DEFENDING CHAMPIONS CARIBBEAN Classic and Old Harbour United continued their unbeaten runs in their respective zones of the Portmore/St. Catherine domino league last Sunday winning their third straight match.

In Zone A, Caribbean Classic defeated former champions Eagle View 300-269 in a home match at Portmore Lane. And in Zone B, Old Harbour United beat Masterpiece 300-260 to be joint leaders with Forte International who also made it three in a row at the expense of Hurricane, winning by 16 points (300-284).

In other Zone B matches, Night Shift stopped Gold Club 300-266, Angels All-Stars defeated Right Stuff 300-287 while Eradication took full points from Galaxy who threw in the towel from early, as they were unable to assemble a full team on all six tables.

The other Zone B match between ISCF (Police) and Mighty Destroyers had to be postponed due to Bulbie's funeral.

Meanwhile, in other Zone A matches, Correctional Services beat home team Garveymeade 300-268, Black Rooster crushed H.Q. International 300-249, St. Joseph beat Ken's Wildflower 300-268 and Frazer's Whip stopped Seamaster 300-284 at Frazer's Content. The match between Marleymount and JUTC had to be postponed.

The competition continues tomorrow with 12 matches, including the feature match between Eagle View and St. Joseph at Eagle View, Old Braeton. Correctional Services will meet Black Rooster in another interesting fourth round match at the Spanish Town Prison Oval.
