Jamaica's Under-21 netballers won their first international series under new head coach C. Lloyd Walker, following their 43-29 victory over their English counterparts in their second match of the three-Test series at the G.C. Foster College in St Catherine.

"I feel good because I think that we have given the Jamaican netball public what they wanted tonight, which is a series victory," said a very elated Walker after yesterday evening's match.

"However, I think that we have a lot more work to do in the next encounter because we know that the English are going to come all out to avoid the series whitewash," Walker added.

The Jamaicans lead the series 2-0 after Monday's 49-33 triumph in the opening encounter.

Jamaica led all quarters

Crystal Gordon led Jamaica with 28 goals from 36 attempts. She received support from captain Christina Solmon, with 14 from 19 and Vanessa Walker, who scored one of three attempts.

Jo Harten, with 21 goals from 33 attempts, and Monique Wood, six from 10 attempts, were the main scorers for England.

Jamaica led all quarters, with the scores reading 11-5, 21-14 and 30-21 at the respective intervals.
