Volleyball club league action shifts to UWI Bowl

Due to the unavailability of the G.C. Foster College gymnasium, this weekend's matches in the Jamaica Volleyball clubs league will be played at the University of the West Indies (UWI) Bowl, Mona.

According to Garth Bonner, competition coordinator, this has also forced the Jamaica Volleyball Association to make changes to its match schedule for this weekend.

"The matches on for this weekend have been rearranged to facilitate this change (of venue)," he explained. "Teams and referees are asked to be on time for their matches in order for the smooth running of the days' event."

Female group leaders and defending champions, UWI, will again be idle for the second straight Saturday, but will face Viqueens of Westmoreland tomorrow morning at 8:30.

Defending male champions Vikings, also of Westmoreland, will take on Venus at 8 o'clock tonight.
