THE VISITING Indian polo team concludes its four-match series today when it opposes the Kingston Polo Club Jamaica team in the FirstCaribbean Wealth Management-sponsored Jaipur Cup series at Caymanas Estates, starting at 11:00 a.m.

Before that match, Kingston Polo Club will host the Premier League final between Ponderosa and Chukka Caribbean, starting at 10:00. The Ponderosa team comprises Mark Wates, Stephen Laing, Peter Barrow and Charlie Chambers; while Chukka Caribbean has Lesley Fong-Yee, Jonathan Dougall, Randy Mair and Simon Brown.

Having started their tour last Sunday on a losing note to a Chukka Blue Jamaica team at Sandy Bay in Hanover, the Indians will be seeking to make amends today. They will field the same team which lost the first match 9-6, this comprising Vishal Singh, Angad Kalaan, Ajit Singh and Vicky Nihalani. Kurt Chin scored five goals for Jamaica in that match.

The Jamaica team for this match, to be played over four chukkas, is Paul Lalor (captain), Alexander and Mark Melville along with James Robertson, the Member of Parliament for Western St Thomas.

In the second match of the series on Thursday at the St. Ann Polo Club, Drax Hall, the Virgin Atlantic team won the round-robin tournament ahead of Round Hill and Jamaica Inn. The Virgin Atlantic team, which won both matches, was in fact a mixed team comprising the Indian players Angad Kalaan and Om Singh combined with the Jamaicans Junior Chin and Courtney Cohen.

Yesterday at Drax Hall, the Indians were scheduled to play their third match in the series against a St. Ann Polo Club Jamaica team comprising Andy Vernon, Craig Russell, Shane Chin and Fong-Yee.
