Fort International eradicate former domino leaders

Fort International overcame a major hurdle in the Portmore/St Catherine Domino League last Sunday when they defeated former leaders Eradication 300-283 in the feature 14th-round match at Eradication, Gregory Park.

As a result of this 17-point win over the home team, Fort International remain joint leaders with Caribbean Classic on 62 points from 14 matches.

Caribbean Classic also extended their winning streak on Sunday by crushing Right Stuff 300-234 in an away match at Cedar Grove Road. On the previous Sunday, Caribbean Classic beat Eradication convincingly in a big clash at Portmore Lane.

Ackee Pod, meanwhile, improved to third place with a narrow 300-296 win over Masterpiece in a countdown at Garveymeade to be on 58 points from 14 matches, one ahead of fourth-place Eradication with 57 from 14 matches.

Rounding out the top eight are Eagle View with 56 points, defending champions Hurricane 52, Right Stuff 49 and Old Harbour United 48, all from 14 matches.

Last Sunday, Hurricane defeated Village Link 300-268 in a home match at Dunbeholden, Eagle View drubbed Old Harbour United 300-263 in an away match, home team Lime Tree clipped Marlie Mount 300-298 in an exciting countdown, Prozz and Cons beat High Roller 300-292 at Portmore Town Centre, Seamaster stopped Ken's Wildflower 300-261 at Ken's, JUTC beat New Look 300-283 and ISCF clipped Correctional Services 300-298 in a home match at Back Road.

Tomorrow's feature match pits home team Fort International against third-place Ackee Pod at Passagefort, while Caribbean Classic are up against cup holders Hurricane in another home match at Portmore Lane. Prozz and Cons take on ISCF in another interesting match at Church Pen in Old Harbour.
