The West Indies cricketers will move on to South Africa confident of doing well after a 3-1 series triumph in the one-day international (ODI) series against Zimbabwe.

This according to vice-captain Dwayne Bravo, who led the team in two of the matches after Chris Gayle was sidelined with an injury to his right hamstring.

"We came here looking to win the series and we achieved that," Bravo said after yesterday's fifth and final ODI against Zimbabwe was rained out.

"We are playing well as a team and the players are really looking forward to the series in South Africa. The way we fought back in this series to beat Zimbabwe shows that we are confident and have the ability to come back when we are down," Bravo said.

West Indies had lost the opening match against little-rated Zimbabwe but rebounded with handsome wins and Bravo delivered positive thoughts ahead of their travel this week to tackle the tougher South Africans.

"South Africa will not be an easy series and we full understand that. But we believe in ourselves and we know what we have to do. We have to put in the hard work to get the results, play hard against South Africa and keep improving."

Pacer Jerome Taylor was voted the Man of the Series.

The 23-year-old received the award from West Indies team manager Clive Lloyd during the closing ceremony after yesterday's final match.

"This was a great series for me and I believe I am bowling very well at the moment," Taylor said.

Taylor took 11 wickets in the four matches (average 13.71; strike rate 20.6) and was also named Man of the Match in the third and fourth matches.
